Water Transfer Printing (also known as hydrographic, immersion printing, camo dipping, hydro imaging, and cubic printing) is a surface decorating process where elaborate graphics like wood grain, carbon fiber, camouflage, geometrical designs, etc… are applied to a 3-D product surface.
The water Transfer Printing process is extensively used to decorate items that range from entire all-terrain vehicles and car dashboards to small items like bike helmets or other automotive trim. Films can be applied to all types of substrates including plastic, fiberglass, wood, ceramic, and metal.

The clear coat we use is automotive grade, designed to withstand nature and time.
Top coating is an important part of the paint process. It assures optimal results for scratching firmness and longevity.
Use a high quality clear coat for the final finish. Whether its flat, matt or gloss the final coat should be durable enough to protect the part. Once the clear coat has dried you need to inspect it for defects. Most minor defects like orange peel look, or debris in the finish can be wet sanded and polished out at this stage. There are a few exceptions to this.
24-hours of training is conducted and historically it takes an additional period of two to three weeks to fine-tune the production line.
The essential components are:
(1). The ink film with selected design/pattern.

(4). A spray gun and air compressor
(5). Primer, the selected base coat paint, and clear coat

It requires tanks (manual/automatic), a washing station, an oven, spray booth to finish the process of Water Transfer Printing.
Yes, after transfer with PVA film on the decorated part, it needs Washing machines to clear over the subject.
Yes, it better dry by the oven, it is because dust will cover the subject while it dry by nature, the oven temperature should be around 50-70 degrees for the plastic material.
We recommend 0.8~1.3Ømm, not over 1.3Ømm, for activator it requires high quality Precisely spray gun to work with it.
We recommend adding more water tanks to soak the decorated part for ink to more stable on the decorated part.
Normally ABS doesn’t require any base coat, but to match the design, it has to paint the base color to match the art.
Yes, when you did the Immersion Printing, it comes with a defect spot or the result was unacceptable, it can remove by the activator or the chemicals, but the fast way is to repaint the base coat to cover it.

Stainless Steel Material
The whole machine is built with 2.5mm thick 201 stainless steel and 2mm thick 304 stainless steel square tube frame, and is equipped with 8 universal wheels and thickened leveling feet to ensure its stability and mobility. All welding parts are welded with 304 stainless steel welding wire, and all welding marks are polished. The stainless steel material ensures durability and can guarantee no water leakage for 5 years.
Flexible configuration
Equipped with 2 wipers and a long partition beam with a dividing line, it can wipe off the membrane residue and divide the dipping area into several small areas to ensure that the hydrographic membrane does not expand too much.
Hydrographic Dipping Tank Design
Hydrographic Dipping Tank is designed as two parts dipping tank, filter, and heating tank. It ensures enough dipping area and fast heating.
High-Power Heating Element
Hydrographic Dipping Tank has good quality and high-power heating element. It is fitted with 2sets of 6kw heating elements. This can ensure fast heating in 80minutes.
Temperature Control System
There are 2 pcs thermostats on the control box and 2 pcs temperature sensors. The temperature of the dipping tank and heating tank can be set and monitored in real-time. When the temperature reaches the set temperature, the heating element will stop heating water, this will save your power.
The normal temperature will be 25-35℃. Certainly, you can turn on all or one or nothing according to your local temperature.
Water Pump and Voltage Compatibility
3m Hydrographic Dipping Tank is equipped with a low noise, strong flow, long life 750w stainless steel water pump to ensure that the film residue is flushed away.
We can manufacture water tanks that meet the standard voltages of various countries according to your requirements, such as single-phase 110v, 220v 60hz; 220v 50hz, and 380v 50hz. Easy wire connection. Each cable is equipped with a quick connector, you only need to plug it in when you get the water tank connect the main power supply, and then fill the water into the water tank.
Safety Features
The electrical box and wires of the Hydrographic Dipping Tank are safely equipped. Each work unit is equipped with a circuit breaker protection switch and an emergency stop switch to ensure the safety of personnel and machines in emergencies. All wires are hidden and wrapped with protective tubes to prevent leakage. Each water tank is equipped with a ground wire to avoid electric shock.
